If you're carrying your phone, you're carrying money

You can send and receive money by mobile phone instantly with complete security. The money will reach whoever you want in less than 10 seconds. Securely, using only the telephone number.

 

Payment between friends

A simple way to share costs, for example, for a dinner or a gift, between friends or family and without the need to use cash or know the relevant IBAN number. You just have to enter the mobile phone number or select the recipient from your contact list, enter the amount you wish to send and the money will be transferred from your account to theirs instantly. It's that easy.

Activate Arquia Bizum in 3 steps:

1. Download the App.

You can download the App from the Android or Apple market.

 

2. Register.

Activate the service and you're ready to go. Remember that your password is the same as the one you already have for your online banking. If you can't remember your password, you can request a new one from the Arquia Banca online banking website.

3. Configure Biometric Access.

If your phone has biometric sensors, configure biometric access in 'Settings > General Settings'. On Android with fingerprint, and on iOS with fingerprint or face (Face ID).

    • It's fast; funds are transferred in less than 10 seconds.

  • What do I need to use Arquia Bizum?

  • In the reference field, all Bizum transactions will start with 'BIZUM CHARGE' or 'BIZUM PAYMENT'.

  • No, Bizum es un servicio para particulares. Puedes utilizar Bizum para uso personal como particular.

  • No se ha encontrado ninguna cuenta corriente de tipo consumidor a nombre del cliente. Bizum es un servicio para particulares. Si es autónomo o empresario, sólo podrá utilizar Bizum a nivel personal como particular. En caso de ser una persona particular, que ya tiene una cuenta en Arquia Banca y que no utiliza para uso profesional, contacte con su oficina para que lo pueda revisar.

Send and request money

  • How do I send money?
  • Go to the send option in Bizum, search for the contact you want to send money to by phone number or name, select it and fill in the requested details. For security reasons, we will send you a one-time code so you can confirm the transaction.

  • How do I request money?
  • Go to the request option in Bizum, search for the contact you want to request money from by phone number or name, select it and fill in the requested details.

  • Can I send money to more than one person in a single transfer?
  • Yes, on the right-hand side of the contact search function there is an icon featuring the plus symbol. Click on the icon and select all the contacts you want to send money to up to a maximum of 30.

  • Can I ask for money from more than one person in a single request?
  • Yes, on the right-hand side of the contact search function there is an icon featuring the plus symbol. Click on the icon and select all the contacts you want to request money from up to a maximum of 30.

  • How can I see who I have sent money to or requested money from?
  • The Arquia Bizum activity section will show a history of Bizum transactions you have performed. It will also show the transactions that you have been sent or requested. By selecting a transaction from the list, you will be able to see the details of it.

  • Who can I send money to or request money from?
  • To anyone in your contact list who has registered for the Bizum service with Arquia Banca or any of the other Spanish banks affiliated with Bizum. You can check the list of banks that are affiliated with bizum. The Arquia Bizum application will list all your contacts that have activated the Bizum service first (they will be indicated with a small circle in the yellow/orange colour of Arquia). You can also send money to or request money from your contacts who have not yet registered for Bizum and they will receive an invitation to register on Bizum. When they register, they will receive your money or will be able to pay the requested amount. If the person who has received the invitation does not register, after a few days the operation will expire and will not be executed.

  • Is there any limit to the amount you can send or receive?
  • Yes, the minimum amount you can send or request per transaction is €0.5 and the maximum amount is €500. There is also a limit to the accumulated maximum amount that you can receive in one day, which cannot exceed €2,000.

  • Are there any limits to transactions?
  • Yes, you cannot receive more than 150 transactions per month. You can also not exceed 150 requests issued per month. You cannot exceed 30 recipients when performing multiple payment or request transactions.

  • Can I send money to or request money from someone who does not have the Bizum service?
  • Yes, provided the person who does not have Bizum receives an invitation to register with Bizum. Once they have registered, they will receive the money or be able to pay the amount requested. If the person who has received the invitation does not register, after a few days the operation will expire and will not be executed.

  • Can I send money to a person using a foreign mobile phone?
  • Yes, the person only needs to have an account in a Spanish bank and to be registered on Bizum. If they are not registered on Bizum, they will receive an invitation to register on Bizum.

  • Can I cancel a payment sent?
  • No, payments are immediate. Therefore, they cannot be cancelled. If you have sent money to one of your contacts by mistake, please contact them to return so they can return it to you. If this is not possible, please contact your branch so a dispute can be opened.

  • When does a money request expire?
  • 7 days after you issued the request.

Settings

  • Can I use Bizum with a current account that is registered to my company?
  • No, the Bizum service is only intended for private customers. Bizum is not a service for companies.

  • Can I contract the Bizum service with another bank at the same time?
  • This is not possible if you have linked it to the same phone number. It is only possible if you have linked one phone number to Arquia Bizum and another one to the Bizum service you have with the other bank.

  • Can I link more than one phone number to the same Arquia Banca account?
  • Yes, two different people with different phone numbers can link to the same Arquia Banca account, provided they are account holders or are authorised to use the account.

  • Can I link Bizum to two Arquia Banca accounts?
  • No, you can only link one account to Bizum by default. This is the account you will receive money in and send money from by default. When sending money, you will be able to enter an account other than your default account if you wish. This is not possible for money requests.

  • When does an invitation to Bizum expire?
  • After 2 days if you have sent money and after 7 days if you have requested money.

  • How can I change the account linked to Bizum?
  • In the Settings section, under Bizum settings.

  • How can I activate biometric authentication?
  • In the settings section, under general settings.

  • The Arquia Bizum App is asking for permission to access my contacts. Is this essential?
  • Yes, the Arquia Bizum App needs to have access to your contacts so you can use your contact list to select the person you want to send money to or request money from. If you did not initially grant access permissions, you can close and reopen the App so it asks you for access authorisation again.
